El ingeniero en Sistemas Computacionales se dedica a la implementación de aplicaciones que resuelven problemas en diversos contextos, integrando una variedad de tecnologías, plataformas y dispositivos. Su labor abarca el diseño, desarrollo y aplicación de modelos computacionales, utilizando herramientas matemáticas adecuadas para abordar estos desafíos. Además, se encarga de diseñar e implementar interfaces que permiten la automatización de sistemas de hardware, junto con el desarrollo del software correspondiente. Trabaja en colaboración con equipos multidisciplinarios para llevar a cabo soluciones innovadoras en diferentes entornos.

En su rol, también diseña, implementa y administra bases de datos, asegurándose de optimizar los recursos disponibles y de cumplir con las normas vigentes sobre manejo y seguridad de la información. El ingeniero en Sistemas desarrolla y gestiona software que impulsa la productividad y competitividad de las organizaciones, garantizando que se sigan los estándares de calidad establecidos.

Asimismo, evalúa tecnologías de hardware para garantizar un soporte efectivo de las aplicaciones, y tiene la capacidad de identificar áreas de oportunidad mediante una perspectiva empresarial, lo que le permite crear proyectos que apliquen las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación.
